Less than a week after suspending his own presidential campaign, Newt Gingrich is showing strong support for former rival Mitt Romney.
Sunday on Face the Nation, the former House Speaker was asked about standing behind Romney.
“I said on Wednesday when I did the statement of suspending the campaign, I'm going to campaign for him. I favor him over Obama, and I went through, like, seven different issue where's I favor him. I'll do everything I can to help elect Romney and I'll do everything I can to help the Senate and help the House Republicans,” says Gingrich.
Newt Gingrich has already been in talks with Romney's campaign to appear at several major events.
