Public School 106 in Far Rockaway, New York has earned the nickname "School of No".

Parents of students at the Queens school have booed the embattled principal amid allegations of rampant neglect and mismanagement. The frustrated and angry parents complain about the lack of resources and leadership.

The New York City Schools Chancellor Carmen Farina sent her deputy chancellor to investigate claims that the Far Rockaway school lacks teaching materials and staff.

The school was badly damaged by Superstorm Sandy but repairs have not been made. Parents and students say they don't have the necessary materials or classroom space to get a proper education.

Another problem is that the principal Marcella Sills is often absent. Parents claim the principal does not have a professional appearance, is often dismissive of their needs and is rarely available.

Some parents also complained about the pricey graduation outing where the kids wear bridal-style gowns and tuxedos.

A spokesman for Special Commission of Investigation Richard Condon confirmed a probe of the school. Two of Condon's investigators were spotted entering the school.

P-S 106 has kindergarteners through fifth graders.
