Investigators and the community of sparks, Nevada are still trying to make sense of Monday’s senseless school shooting.
About 700 students were starting the school day when a 12-year-old classmate opened fire.
Teachers scrambled to get students inside.
The boy shot and injured two fellow students and killed a popular 8th-grade math teacher Michael Landsberry, and then fatally shot himself in the head.
Police say the boy got the gun from his home.
They also say they do not plan to identify the boy out of respect for his grieving family.
The school remains closed for the week, while it offers counseling and evaluates how safety procedure were handled during this tragedy.
