ATLANTA (AP) -- North Georgia could receive a glancing blow as Hurricane Sandy moves up the Eastern Seaboard.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch that includes extreme northeastern Georgia.

Forecasters say winds gusting up to 60 mph could damage trees and cause power outages.

The weather service says sustained winds will increase to 25 mph and linger through Tuesday evening.

The storm is expected to make landfall along the New Jersey coast early Tuesday.
