NATO Supply Trucks Turned Away at Afghan-Pakistan Border

The last of the trucks carrying supplies for NATO forces in Afghanistan were turned back from the Pakistan border Tuesday.

It's in retaliation for a NATO airstrike on Pakistani military outposts over the weekend that killed 24 troops.

Pakistan has shut down NATO supply routes into Afghanistan, and the army has threatened to curtail cooperation over the war there.

Thousands of trucks are now stranded near the border. They carry nearly half of the alliance's supplies shipped overland to Afghanistan.
