It's not unusual to lose a cell phone.
It's happened to most of us.
But what is unusual is the extreme lengths a woman took to return the memory card from a phone to its rightful owner.
And .. as Randy Gyllenhaal explains...one family now has their treasured pictures back...
It's playtime in the Keene family living room.
We’re gonna make a tall one.
Their youngest son Bryce --
Here put one of these on there.
Is a photogenic five year old. His pictures hang all over the house...
But some of his pictures ... Never made it home.
Do you remember that day? The day you were born?
Mom and dad only have memories from January 2008.
I just remember he took a long time before he was ready, but when he was ready he was ready.
They took pictures that day -- on a camera phone -- including the minutes after birth.
I remember that picture specifically, and we really miss that picture.
Pictures worth a thousand words... These ones were priceless.
But one day, while shopping at this Target in Stuart, she dropped the phone, the memory card fell out onto the ground, seemingly lost forever.
It’s a scan disc 1GB memory card that's used in cameras.
This is Sheila Johnson... She found that memory card lying around her house. No idea how it got there... She thinks her young daughter may have scooped it off the target floor.
I started flipping through and I thought, I have no clue who these people are.
There was one clue -- a name.
Sheila went straight to Facebook... And found them.
It was the right thing to do. so I actually have your memory card, you can have the original back. Thank you so much!
Now, for the first time...
That was just after you were born.
Bryce can see his birthday.
Yeah right there! That's a baby.
The kid has grown a lot since then...
But thanks to a tech-savvy stranger...
Ok do you wanna go first or should I go first?
He'll never forget that day he was too young to remember.
