MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) - An Arizona man originally charged with
killing his mother-in-law in central Florida has been sentenced to
30 months in prison after accepting a plea deal for a lesser
A Brevard County judge sentenced 76-year-old Ronald Bozik on
Friday. He pleaded no contest last month to accessory after the
fact to second-degree murder. He was originally charged with
second-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the slaying of
82-year-old Lila Watsonwith.
Bozik was visiting from Phoenix in April when he was arrested.
Authorities say Bozik killed Watsonwith at her Indialantic home
over a financial disagreement. Court records showed the woman died
from blunt force trauma
Prosecutors offered Bozik the plea deal after an earlier trial
in November ended in a hung jury.
