Man Charged With Letting Dog Attack Daughter

OCALA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a north Florida man attacked his daughter and let his dog bite her.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office reports that 49-year-old Julian Maynard Saunders got home after watching the Super Bowl Sunday night and began arguing with his 19-year-old daughter. A report says Saunders had his pit bull next to him as he yelled obscenities at the teen.

Deputies say Saunders eventually grabbed the girl by the face, slammed her into the wall and took her to the ground as the dog
started to bite and scratch at her legs. When the teen's mother tried to intervene, the dog bit her arm.

The women went to the hospital and called authorities.

Saunders was charged with felony domestic battery. He was being held without bail.

The dog was placed under home quarantine.

Any man that would abuse his child needs to be abused in the same manner. I am proud that the Mother had sense enough and loved her child enough to try to intervene. So often, we hear of how a child is abused by a parent in the house and the other parent is so afraid that they stand idlely by. My advice to the mother: Get a divorce from the idiot and make sure to get enough alimony for you to support your child, make sure he is put under the jail, take out a restraining order, get yourselves a very protective dog. To Mom, make sure that you and your daughter thank God for protecting you both.

A few years in prison a divorce and some well trained dogs to keep him away will fix him.
