Last Kodachrome Film Developer Shuts Doors

It's the end of an era for film photography.

A southeast Kansas business stopped processing Kodachrome film.

Dwayne's Photo has been the only processing lab to develop Kodachrome in the world since June 2009 when Kodak stopped making the film and closed all other labs in Europe and the U.S.

The film is known for its vivid colors and durability. Thursday was the last scheduled day to process the film at the studio.
