Japan:Skytree Opens To The Public

It's officially the tallest tower in the world.

And today the Tokyo Skytree opened to the public.

At 2-thousand-80 feet, it's twice as high as the Eiffel tower in Paris.

It took four years to build and cost more than 800-million-dollars.

According to Skytree's website it was certified as the world's tallest tower by Guinness World Records in November.

The Skytree will provide broadcast transmissions-- and be accompanied by shops, restaurants, an aquarium and observation decks.

It's expected to attract 32-million visitors in its first year...But there might be a wait, as tickets are already sold out until July.
