This Saturday (5/3) it was a herd--a herd of goats-that caused a backup on Highway 24 near the Caldecott Tunnel in California.

According to CHP Officer W. Ogilvie, the incident began about 5:43 p.m. Saturday on the westbound Highway 24 and Highway 13 connector.

A herd of some 50 goats used to remove brush alongside the highway wandered onto the freeway, bringing traffic to a halt.

CHP officers joined the herd's shepherds and cleared it from the roadway in about 30 minutes.
