"It doesn't seem like it's been around for ten years, I guess because it really just exploded in the past couple of years."
Since Facebook started in 2004, the way many people communicate has changed.
"It’s communication at the speed of light."
"Every day when I’m out one of my friends finds somebody is like hey I like you what's your name I’m going to add you on Facebook."
"It’s kind of funny because it almost eliminates the need for high school reunions because I’m friends with so many of my high school friends. it's just interesting to see how everyone changes and Facebook makes that really easy."
Some remember when their own Facebook was born.
"Oh gosh, I think I made my first Facebook account when I was a freshman in college."
"Since my kids started college a few years ago."
"Since ninth grade."
The social media site is part of almost every generation.
"Now it's like my parents have Facebook and even grandparents have Facebook and a lot of my family members do now. It’s kind of interesting to see how it's evolved."
"Ten years after its creation, the social network is used by 1.23 billion people worldwide. To celebrate their tenth year, a small team at Facebook spent months making "look back" videos to commemorate your years on Facebook."
But will the social network last another ten years?
"I think it will actually be around."
"I don't think Facebook will be gone in the next ten years seeing how Facebook is everywhere now, we link in to everything we log into jobs and use Facebook for that."
"I don't know, Myspace came and went so fast, I just think about that but I think Facebook has made its mark as a tool that people can use, a good tool."
A tool for people to document their lives and share them with others.
