Golden Gate Bridge - 75th Anniversary

Fireworks lit up the sky Sunday night over San Francisco.

It was to mark the diamond anniversary for one of the nation's most iconic symbols, the Golden Gate Bridge.

The famous bridge opened 75 years ago in the midst of the Great Depression.

Family events, music, fireworks, and an appearance by the USS Nimitz helped mark the celebration.

More than two billion vehicles have crossed the bridge since it opened in 1937.
