General Motors is recalling 300 thousand of its Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups.
This is because of a potential problem that could result in an engine fire.
According to the national highway traffic safety administration the recall affects model year 2014 trucks equipped with 4.3 liter and 5.3 liter engines.
When the vehicle is idling in cold temperatures, the exhaust components may overheat, melting nearby plastic parts and creating an engine fire.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the engine control module.
