A Florida driver didn't let road rage get in the way of doing the right thing.
The woman pulled a mother and daughter from a burning car...
This, after the mother reportedly flashed a rude gesture at the driver just moments before the accident.
Melissa Eichman has details.
This stretch of West Ozello Trail in Crystal River-- now charred.
A mother and her daughter escaped a burning car... But only because the right person was here at the right time.
"Whenever I came around that corner over there, is whenever I saw the vehicle up in flames."
Kristyn Dominy was heading home with her baby Monday evening.
She says a woman driving erratically, sped past her along the winding road.
"She did flick me off whenever she passed me."
Kristyn says she noticed black smoke coming from the jeep and when she turned a corner about 30 seconds later... She saw the woman's car and some trees up in flames.
"My first thought when I came around the corner and saw that her vehicle was on fire, I was thinking karma, but the same time, I could never-even though she flicked me off down the road-I could never just sit there and watch that happen."
Kristyn says the woman was on fire and struggling to get her daughter out of the burning car.
"I don't know how I didn't get burned or anything because I took the seatbelt off of her and told her to get on the ground and roll to get the fire off of her because her clothes were on fire."
Kristyn says she wanted to get the mother and daughter away from the fire... So she put them in her car and called 9-1-1.
"The vehicle was up in flames and just the look on the mom and daughter's face, I could never just drive by and not think about that."
Kristyn says she doesn't consider herself a hero, but hopes this inspires people to pay it forward.
The mother and her daughter were flown to a nearby hospital.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the car to catch fire.
