Federal Reserve Putting Money into Government Bonds

The Federal Reserve is going to pump $600 billion into government bonds.

It's part of a plan aimed at driving interest rates even lower than they already are in hopes of jumpstarting the economy. The announcement Wednesday helped push stocks to their highest close of the year.
