Elba — A two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Coffee County has left an Elba woman in critical condition. Lyntresa S. Flowers, 36, of Elba, was traveling on US 84 when she crashed into the back of a log truck.

Initial investigation indicates that Flowers was traveling above the posted speed limit when her 1997 BMW ran into the back of a 1993 Kenworth tractor trailer driven by David A. Thomas III, 31, of Enterprise.

Thomas was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the scene and released. Flowers was air-lifted to Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan where she is in critical condition.

The crash occurred at 7:30 a.m. outside of the Elba city limits. State Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
