Delta Air Lines Flight Attendants Reject Union

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -Results released on Wednesday by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA show about 49 percent of flight attendants voting in favor of a union, but they needed a majority.

The union says it will challenge the results with the National
Mediation Board, which runs union elections at airlines. The AFA
says the company intimidated workers into voting against

Delta has 20,000 flight attendants, including roughly 7,000 who
came from Northwest Airlines in 2008. The Northwest flight
attendants were in the union, but their Delta colleagues were not.

The vote was to resolve whether the union would cover all of them,
or none.
