A military jury unanimously recommended the death penalty today for convicted Ft. Hood shooter, Major Nidal Hasan, for the 2009 massacre that left 13 people dead.
The 13 member panel of Senior Officers convicted the defendant on all counts of pre-mediated murder from the deadly shooting at the deployment processing center.
Today, they heard 45 minutes of closing arguments from the government. Hasan represented himself and did not call witnesses. He also did not present any documentary evidence on why he should not die for his crimes.
Hasan also did not offer any justification or explanation. He only said “I have no closing statement”.
