Census: No Sign of Economic Rebound for Many in US

The economy may be showing signs of improvement, however, new census data suggests the gains are not seeing a turnaround.

Poverty is on the rise in single-mother families and more people are falling into the lowest-income group. Middle to higher income groups shrank or was flat. Homeownership declined for the 5th year in a row, down to 63.9 percent.

Food stamp use continues to climb with $15.8 million US households receiving the benefits.
