GRIFFIN, Ga. (AP) -- A judge has denied bond for a 40-year-old man who was arrested in the death of a 9-year-old Spalding County girl.

WGCL-TV reports Shane Collett appeared in court Sunday. He was arrested on charges of murder, kidnapping and concealing a death.

Officials say Skylar Dials was reported missing Friday. Authorities found the girl's body in a wooded area around 2 a.m. Saturday after a land and air search that included neighbors, search dogs and multiple law enforcement agencies.

Officials have not given details on how Dials was killed or how Collett was identified as a suspect.

Collett is being held in the Spalding County Sheriff's Office Detention Center. It is unclear if he has a lawyer.

Griffin is about 40 miles south of Atlanta.
