Black Friday Sales Down

Black Friday' sales were down this year for the first time since 2009.

That's because many holiday shoppers got an early start and took advantage of sales on Thanksgiving Day.

"Shopper Trak" reported a 2.3 percent increase in spending on Thursday and Friday.

The National Retail Federation estimated that 141 million Americans did some sort of shopping over the four day holiday weekend, but many of them were shopping from home.

Online sales were up 17 percent from last year.
