The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer newspaper reports that at least 22 people were arrested Saturday and that Army officials detained two
more on Sunday for illegally trying to enter the fort.
At least 22 had been booked into the Muscogee County Jail by late Saturday.
Most were charged with failure to disperse or criminal trespassing, both of which are misdemeanor offenses.
The protests were part of annual protests opposing the military institute formerly known as the School of the Americas.
