Albany Police Arrest Man After Hostage Standoff

ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - Albany police have arrested a man who authorities say held his girlfriend and her two children hostage for nearly three hours in a standoff with officers.

Authorities say Shermain Winns surrendered about 2:40 p.m. Saturday after letting his 25-year-old girlfriend, Kim James, and her children go. Officers arrived at the home after receiving a domestic violence call.

Authorities say no one was injured in the incident.

Listed number for James and Winns could not be found.
