Alabama Woman Sends 26 Dogs to Sandy Hook Victims

TUSCALOOSA, AL - The shooting that claimed 26 lives in Newtown, Connecticut, is inspiring a campaign for 26 acts of kindness.

Heather "Red" Litz, owner of Tuscaloosa K-9 Camp, in Alabama, is giving away 26 trained service dogs.

Litz experienced her own tragedy after tornadoes tore through her business in 20-11.

Now that her business is running smoothly, she says she feels compelled her to give back.

"We of course heard about the awful tragedy in Connecticut and that people were doing 26 acts of kindness in honor of the 26 people who lost their lives that day."

Litz says 25 of the dogs are trained to be personal dogs and one is trained to work with a police department.
