LAKEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - A suspect featured on "America's Most Wanted" in connection with a fatal shooting in Florida nearly three decades ago is behind bars in California.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials say homicide detectives from Florida arrested 66-year-old James Edward Sims on Friday at his home in Lakewood, where he lived for 19 years.
Sims was wanted in Fort Myers, Fla., for allegedly shooting Roy Radabaugh in the face in 1981.
Investigators allege Sims fled Florida, assumed the name Willis Bronas and took up residence in Los Angeles County.
The 1981 killing was featured in a March 2005 episode of the Fox television series "America's Most Wanted."
Authorities say Sims is being held in Lakewood pending extradition to Florida.
