ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - Prosecutors in Aruba say police have found nothing but rocks and coral in an underwater search for the remains of missing U.S. teen Natalee Holloway.
Police have made several dives over the past few days after an American couple turned over an underwater photo of what they believed could have been Holloway's remains. A spokeswoman in the prosecutors's office says while the photo as taken "seriously," the divers were unable to find any of the items in it. She says police believe the photo likely shows coral that looks like a skull and bones.
Holloway disappeared while on vacation in Aruba in 2005.
The then-18-year-old was last seen leaving a bar with a Dutch teen on the final night of a high school graduation trip. Joran Van der Sloot has been detained several times, but Aruban prosecutors say they lack evidence to charge him.
