Homes Destroyed in California Mudslide

Steady rain overnight triggered a mudslide in California that reportedly destroyed seven houses, and flowed into several others.

A hillside gave away in southern California around 5 a.m.

Mud cascaded into a home, piling up about five feet high in places.

No injuries were reported.

The mud flow was strong enough to push around concrete rails and other mud-diversion devices.

More rain is expected in the area throughout Saturday.
