Pres. Obama Releases 2010 Education Speech

WASHINGTON (AP) – In his second speech to the nation’s students as they settle back into school, President Barack Obama will tell them that nothing is beyond their reach if they’re willing to work hard and focus on education.

That’s the message Obama will deliver Tuesday in a back-to school address at a Philadelphia school.

The White House released the president’s remarks a day early so people could read the speech beforehand and judge for themselves.

Before last year’s speech conservatives accused Obama of trying to foist his political agenda on children.

But that type of outcry is missing this year.

In both speeches, Obama urged students to study hard, stay in school and take responsibility for their education.

Last year some schools in the Wiregrass did not air his education speech.
