Three people are dead after a police shootout in Louisa, Va.
Authorities say deputies responded to a dispute at a residence on Sunday. Officers left when they believed it had been resolved but returned after getting another call about a shooting.
When police arrived, the gunman was firing at people in the front yard and had killed two people. The suspect then opened fire on the officers and released his pit bull.
Deputies shot and killed both the gunman and his dog. Four people were injured, at least one critically.
