WTVY Web Wednesday
Every Wednesday, News 4 This Morning takes a look at an assortment of the stories from our show that viewers and readers are talking about on our webchannel and related social media.
A man in California created a very unique Halloween costume for his daughter, Zoey. It was made of LED lights and gave the appearance that the twenty-two month old was a walking stick figure. On Facebook, many of our viewers commented on the story. That included Quientellia Robinson, who said that she had “never seen nothin like it but is so bright and pretty.” Amanda Pease commented, “This is the neatest thing ever, so cute.” And, Christina Peters added, “I want one!”
Tuesday’s unofficial holiday was National Cat Day. The holiday was created to raise awareness for the country’s cats in need of homes, but also to recognize the many cats cared for by owners.
Tuesday marked the milestone of only 100 days until the opening ceremonies of the XXII Winter Olympiad, which will be hosted by Russia in the city of Sochi. On Facebook, Johnnie McBride said that he “can't wait and that he “love[s] the [O]lympics.” And, Tony Reeder added a little wordplay, saying, “The Winter games are cool, pun intended.”
For News 4 This Morning’s third installment of “Terrifying Thursdays,” viewers shared photos of their Halloween decorations and carved pumpkins.
Over the past weekend, Bronydays took place in Paris, France. This was a convention of Bronies, the teenage and adult fans of the hit animated series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Fans were able to take part in panels and games, purchase merchandise and even meet talent connected with the show. Our story was also linked by the popular Pony fan site, Equestria Daily!
