Unofficial Holiday of July 7th: Chocolate Day


In a new study, researchers in Spain had 20 patients with this condition eat either dark or milk chocolate.

It's a staple of candy and desserts and popular across the world. Chocolate is celebrated as an unofficial holiday for July 7th.

It can come in many forms—white chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate. Chocolate contains chemicals that can increase serotonin levels in the brain, leading to sensations of pleasure. Some dark chocolates have also been found in studies to help lower blood pressure. Another study even indicates consumptive of chocolate can equal a lower body mass index. Aside from candy bars, chocolate is also found in chips in chocolate chip cookies, for example.
