They power devices ranging from cameras to cell phones to video game controllers—they are batteries.
And, the unofficial holiday of February 18th is Battery Day!
They come in many different forms and sizes, with some of the most common types in America being AA, C, and 9-Volt.
However, there are some other more obscure sizes such as:
AAAA (Quadruple A) – Less common than their double or triple A counterparts, these power device such as pen lights and glucose meters. They are both shorter and thinner than even the already small AAA.
A & B – Both single A and B type batteries are uncommon, but have been produced.
J – A flat alkaline battery that is occasionally used in medical devices.
