Throwback Thursday

June 3rd, 1985 marked the release of the Back to the Future film, a big success. Four years later, the original Nintendo game Back to the Future didn't receive the same reception.

The game, described as "one of the worst" by some was made by LJN, a company that later became notorious for what many consider poor-quality games based on movies.

The game involves mostly walking and skateboarding, where you control the main character avoiding obstacles like Hula-Hoop Girls. The player can also use bowling balls as weapons.

Back to the Future for NES also had notoriously difficult Bonus levels. The game has since been the subject of several scathing reviews from popular internet gaming critics like The Angry Video Game Nerd and Cornshaq.
