Johnny Bravo was one of several animated series in the 1990s that debuted on Cartoon Network that would become a hit.

Created by Van Partible, Johnny Bravo focused on the title character, a muscle-bound blonde that sounds like Elvis Presley. Johnny believes himself irresistible to women, but the women he encounters think differently, leading to many comedic situations.

The series began as a short, but became a proper series that debuted on Cartoon Network on July 7th, 1997. Some episodes of the first season were written by talent that would go on to create other animated series in the future like Butch Hartman (Fairly OddParents) and Seth McFarlane (Family Guy).

After the first season, the series went through a change in animation style and writing for the second and third seasons, before returning to its more original style for the fourth and final season.
