A comedy that would become synonymous with Hollywood flops was released on this day in history.

On May 15th, 1987, the film Ishtar was released. This comedy starred Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty as two tone-deaf singers who are recruited to sing in a Middle Eastern country that suddenly explodes in conflict.

The film was a spectacular failure, making less than 15 million on a 55 million dollar budget.
