There are several iconic characters that have endured the test of time from the classic Warner Brothers animated shorts: Bugs Bunny, Marvin the Martian, Tweety, and one that made his debut on this day in history: Daffy Duck.
Daffy Duck made his debut in a Porky Pig short called "Porky's Duck Hunt" on April 17th, 1937. That short was directed by Tex Avery.
Daffy was voiced by the "Man of a Thousand Voices" Mel Blanc and was both full of manic energy and very scheming.
Some of Daffy's most well-known shorts include "Duck Amuck" and "Duck Dodgers of the 24 and a Half Century!"
In the video above, you can also see what some of News 4 This Morning's viewers picked as some of their favorite Daffy Duck shorts and moments.
