It was on this day three years ago that the Space Shuttle Endeavour made its final flight into space.
This was also the next-to-last flight of the space shuttle entirely, on a mission numbered STS-135. The flight included a crew of six, Including Mark Kelly, the husband of Gabrielle Gifford, the congresswoman injured in a shooting in Arizona.
This shuttle mission delivered multiple payloads to the international space station after its May 16th, 2011 launch. The flight was a long mission too, lasting 17 days and included four space walks.
