A famous astronaut and an actress are among two of many celebrating their birthday on January 20th.
Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin was born in 1930. Aldrin became the first man to step on the moon as part of the Apollo 11 lunar mission in 1969. Before that, Aldrin was part of the final manned mission of the Gemini program, Gemini 12. In his pre-spaceflight days, Aldrin was a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force and flew in dozens of missions during the Korean War.
Stacey Dash was born in 1967. Dash is perhaps best known for portraying the character of Dionne Davenport in the 1995 comedy film, Clueless, a role which she reprised in the TV series adaptation of the movie. She has since appeared on other films such as View from the Top and in TV series guest roles in series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Dash has even done some voice acting, lending her voice in one episode of the Duck Dodgers animated series.
