Badminton is a professional sport that is part of the Olympics, but is also played in a more recreational form in the backyards of many across the world. It involves players serving a shuttlecock—or birdie—in a manner similar to tennis.

Horseshoes dates back many years and is a game where players try to get a u-shaped object around a target bar. These can range from a simple plastic set to actual horseshoes. There is even a professional organization of horseshoe playing, the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association!
