New Year, New Changes for Dale County Courthouse (AM Version)

Updated: 01/09/2014 - Security issues, lighting and bathrooms meeting ADA regulations are among the updates to which employees and visitors at the Dale County Courthouse can look forward. Commission Chairman Mark Blankenship said the courthouse will be completed with LED lighting, new bathrooms and a heating and cooling control system in each office.

Internship Program Allows DHS Students to Take Steps Towards Future (AM Version)

Updated: 01/08/2014 - A group of Daleville High School students have the chance to spend 90 minutes every other day working in their community. One of the perks is, it is for school credit and during the school day. This is part of an internship program Daleville High started this year. Senior Ashli Williams spends her time at the Billy Adkins Community Center while Jazmin Cephus and Jamie Watts worked at the public library last semester.

Daleville Police Department Gets Tasers (Morning Version)

Updated: 12/17/2013 - Daleville Police Department added a taser to their list of tools to keep them, and their community, safe. Each officer recently received a taser and proper training. The tool allows them to stand around twenty-five feet from their subject and shoot the taser. It sends out two prongs on twenty-five feet of copper wire. These prongs send an electrical pulse to the subject which paralyses their muscles. This holds them in one place until the officers can get the person under control.
