Troy-Dothan Holds A Commencement Service For 153 Students (AM)

Troy-Dothan University graduates are moving on to the next chapter in their lives.

153 students received degrees this morning in front of thousands inside of the Dothan Civic Center. Former Dothan mayor Pat Thomas delivered the keynote address. Troy University chancellor Jack Hawkins say's today's ceremony was the perfect time to say mission accomplished and congratulations.

"With my master's I feel like it's more opportunities out there to get a better job because now in today's society they want you to at least have a bachelor's degree, said Chantal Daffin Edmond, a graduate receiving her Master's in Business Administration.

Keynote speaker Pat Thomas served as mayor of Dothan from 2005-2009. Prior to that he served on the Dothan city commission.
