In an effort to appreciate agriculture, local farmers were treated to a hearty lunch at the Sunsouth John Deere
Lunch was provided through the celebration of national "agriculture week." It's all apart of a program that is committed to increasing public awareness about American agriculture.
Today's lunch was provided by the Alabama Ag Credit.
"Appreciating all that they do in commitment and time and taking the risk that they do to provide the food and fiber that we all take for granted sometimes in the country so it's just an opportunity for us to recognize them and also let the public be aware and to remind them of all that they do for us," said Trig Burns, the Assistant Vice President of the Alabama Ag Credit Office in Dothan.
All farmers were treated to pulled pork, beans and cole slaw.
