It didn't produce any severe weather, but a front moving through the Wiregrass on Monday made for a wet beginning to the work week.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms began to push into the Wiregrass in the overnight hours on Monday. These were part of a system that brought rain and storms that moved southward from Tennessee. Although it did produce some strong storms north of Alabama, it weakened as it made its way south.
Heavy rain fell in parts of the Wiregrass from Dothan to Ozark to Enterprise before noon. Ozark received a half inch of rain, while the Dothan airport only recorded 0.07" of precipitation.
