Area Farmers Take Precautions for Potential Freeze (AM)

Area farmers are preparing for a potential freeze tonight.

Strawberry and peaches are the main crops that could be harmed if frost gets to them.

Strawberry fields can be protected with a covering to insulate them.

At Aplin Farms they're using drip irrigation to keep the ground wet and keep it warm.

They'll also be burning some hay bales to create a layer of smoke.

John Aplin says he expects his losses to be minimal but they're taking all precautions.
