The Opp City Council has voted to close one of its two voting houses for future elections.
Mayor John Bartholomew says closing the Hardin Street Community Center as a polling location will save the city money.
It has only been used for municipal elections, and will not have any affect on the upcoming June 3rd primary.
Closing Hardin Street Community Center as a polling place will have no effect where residents will vote in county-wide, state, and national races.
