The National Weather Service has confirmed what Jackson County residents experienced Wednesday morning was at least two tornadoes.
Thursday, the National Weather Service meteorologists did a walk through of the damage.
The survery looked at the pattern of wind damage and what was damaged to determine if it was caused by a tornado.
The meterologists concluded tornadoes touched down at least three times in Jackson Countycausing damage to at least five homes.
"Damaging winds associated with tornados tend to blow stuff inwards with straight line winds they tend to go in one direction so what we look for is the way the trees and debris are lying and the way things are being blown so thats how we make as assesment of a tornado," said Jeffry Evans, Warning Coordination Meteorologist from the National Weather Service in Tallahassee.
Wednesday, Jackson County recieved an exective order from Governor Rick Scott to get state resources.
