Wild Turkey Keeps Folks From Gas Pumps

She’s as free as a bird, but just won’t leave a Washington County gas station.

Now though, employees say they’ve had enough and want this bird to end her attachment to their store cold turkey.

The big, brown turkey has been hanging around the BP gas station and 7-Eleven convenience store along Route 519 in Eighty-Four for three weeks now.

Employees say if it’s not hanging out on top of the fuel pumps, it’s chasing frightened customers in front of the store.

SOT Stephanie Jones, Employee:
“If he senses fear in you, he will chase after you like a dog. But it’s a female. I don’t know if it would really do anything, if it has spurs or anything. But I don’t know, she likes to terrorize people.”

Employees say the turkey’s favorite snack is Ho Ho's.

They've even had to chase the bird from inside the store.
