The explosion of the interactive video game market is bringing the gym to you.

Consumer reports set out to see which fitness games for your Xbox, Wii and p-s-3 really work and which are a waste of your time and money.

If you're looking for a serious workout, the fitness gaming team liked Nike+ Kinect training.

This game evaluates your fitness level and creates a customized program for you.

Consumer reports liked the realistic looking trainers and gym setting but says the game is lacking in strength-training routines.

Zumba fitness: core is earning high praise if you're looking to trim your tummy.

You can select the length of your workout and the test crew liked the praise the game offers when participants get the steps right.

But if you have two left feet, this probably isn't the game for you.

Just dance 4 is another way to forget you're working out.

In fact, consumer reports said it's more fun than fitness.

If your goal is to simply get off the couch, this game will help you achieve it, but the experts say it's lacking in intensity.

And if you're just getting around to that new year’s resolution to get moving, your shape fitness evolved 2013 could be your best bet.

Consumer reports likes the easier tempo and pace of exercises and the clear instructions.

But the routines might be too basic for someone who is already in shape.
