Up Close & Personal with Deadly Midwest Tornado

You've heard of storm chasers.

A Washington, Illinois, man didn't have to chase anything.

Armed with his video camera, Kris Lancaster stood just outside the door to record this video of the tornado that hit his town.

As he watches, the tornado seems to head straight for him.

As the tornado gets closer and closer, his excitement about catching it on camera quickly turns into fear as he's buffeted by the sudden winds.

He tries to get back into the house, but his patio is clearly no match for the tornado, and Lancaster is tossed around.

Luckily, he and his family all survived, but Lancaster was injured as debris cut him in three places around his eye.
